We recently catered an eclectic wedding at the Ironworks Building in Railtown. Working alongside Kiri Mcleod of DreamGroup Productions (read our blog with Kiri HERE), we provided an extensive menu of gluten free canapés, Breakfast for Dinner buffet, hosted an ice cream sandwich station stocked with gluten free cookies, made all in house and vegan ice cream from Earnest Ice Cream, and served a late night snack of home style grilled cheese sandwiches.

It was a pleasure to work with Kiri and her client’s B+E on their wedding. This down to earth couple put on an amazing show for all 150 of their guests. They were cool, calm, and collected and provided an intimate and fun setting for all to enjoy. Their heartfelt speeches were felt by all in attendance, and the groom pulled out all the stops with a surprise trip to Paris for he and his new wife to start their married life together as mari et femme.

Louis Gervais recently catered our wedding and they blew it OUT OF THE PARK. We served breakfast for dinner and honestly, nearly a month later people are still talking about how awesome it was. Our appies were outstanding and for the main course we served chicken and waffles, yogurt parfaits (with the best homemade granola I’ve ever had) and build your own breakfast burritos. For dessert we had ice cream sandwiches with not one but three types of cookies. The late night snack were grilled cheese sandwiches with amazing homemade ketchup and BBQ sauce. Every dish was fresh, delicious, made with quality ingredients. They were able to accommodate our vegan and gluten-free friends as well; everyone left so satisfied with what they ate. Their service — everything from working with Nicole to arrange the menu to the service day of was more than we could have expected. They went over and above every step of the way. Go get yourself a grilled cheese at their cafe and you’ll see what I mean. SO. GOOD!

As an Event Planner I know the impact catering can make on an event and I rely on excellent caterers to help me ensure that my clients and their guests have an amazing experience! LOVE this place, the food and the people. Have been there several times – for a cooking class, for lunch, and they’ve catered two events for us. Just last weekend they catered our daughter’s outdoor wedding reception and the guests raved about the food all night long – a huge success.
They’re always a pleasure to deal with – friendly, attentive and willing to go the extra mile with creativity and attention to detail. Great atmosphere at the shop – excellent service all round and even Chef himself is very welcoming. What I appreciate the most is that they serve good food, prepared very well with no pretentiousness. A breath of fresh air.
There was a range of tastes at the last event – from mid-20’s hipster types to young professionals to aunties from the prairies to urbanites with sophisticated palates. In other words, a tough crowd. And they ALL loved the food.
Everything was on time and exactly as promised or even better. Anyone organizing an event knows that is golden.
It’s worth mentioning that I was involved in producing a series of upscale food and wine events across Canada, working with the top chefs in each city. The folks at Louis Gervais are completely professional and top rate. Highly recommended.

Last year we decided to add a spousal component to our conference. We thought that a cooking class at Louis Gervais would be a great way for everyone to get to know each other and have some fun. Louis was outstanding! He made all the ladies feel welcome and ensured everyone was taken care of. One of the ladies brought her 7 year old son to one of the cooking classes. At the end of the class, Louis gave the boy a child’s size chef‘s jacket and butcher’s apron to take home. The little boy and his Mom were just thrilled! Everyone had a wonderful experience!
