Executive Chef & Owner
A graduate of the Culinary Arts program at the Institute of Hotel and Tourism, Louis spent several years working with some of Montreal’s top chefs before moving to the West Coast in 1982. Louis then devoted his culinary talents and expertise to many of Vancouver’s finest restaurants and hotels, most recently at the Sutton Place Hotel where he entertained a host of celebrities, movie stars and dignitaries, and was instrumental in the Sutton Place achieving and maintaining its five-diamond status for over a decade.
For the past 15 years Louis has devoted his time and energy to creating and growing his own event catering business. Starting as a one man operation, he has expanded his original business venture to include private cooking classes, corporate lunch delivery, and a French bistro cafe. His dynamic personality, passion for fine cuisine, and high standards are evident in every aspect of his business.

Managing Partner & Co-founder
Kelly, Louis’ wife and business partner, works behind the scenes overseeing all divisions of the business. With a background in marketing and years of experience in the hospitality industry, Kelly now divides her time between the catering office and visits to the Harbourside dog park with her Labradoodle Dugan.
Sales & Events Coordinator
Jennifer Greenman is a certified Wedding & Event Planning professional who received her certificate through QC School of Event Planning in 2011. To learn and gain experience, she volunteered with some of the best planning professionals in Vancouver and throughout the lower mainland. She is a board member of “A Wish to Wed Society” an organization that provides wedding and vow renewal wishes to those who are stricken with life threatening illnesses and medical conditions, and find themselves in a challenging financial situation. In 2014, she started her own event planning business but after a year of working on her own she realized she excelled when working within a team environment. Shortly after, she joined the Louis Gervais Fine Foods & Catering team as the Sales & Events Specialist where she not only plans and executes events but is able to prepare and customize beautiful menus, work with a wonderful team and continue her career in the event industry. Jennifer’s infectious laugh and cheery deposition has gained her frequent rave reviews from delighted clients.
Ariana R. Mattar
Sales & Events Coordinator
Ariana R. Mattar graduated in 2010 from a Culinary Arts Diploma Program in Caracas, Venezuela before she headed to Vancouver for a new adventure. Within two years she completed the Event Management Diploma program at The Art Institute of Vancouver and starting volunteering at prominent events hosted in Vancouver. In 2015, Ariana graduated as a Hospitality Manager. She has worked in some of Vancouver’s most elite restaurant chains gaining valuable experience in menu planning and wine pairing. She joined the Louis Gervais Fine Foods & Catering team in early 2015 bringing her extensive and unique talents to the field of catering. Her passion for excellent customer service and for creating exceptional experiences is obvious in every event she takes on.
Admin & Bookkeeping
Megan joins us all the way from South Africa and now calls North Vancouver home. She keeps the office in order and the books balanced.
Deb is a virtuoso with everything sweet. She jumps from preparing scrumptious cakes and fresh baked squares and cookies for our busy bistro, to prepping hundreds of exquisite bite-size sweets and decadent desserts for catered weddings, corporate events, and private parties. Thanks to Deb we now produce all of our own Gluten Free pastries and desserts in house. As well, her love for dogs (especially Bernese Mountain Dogs) means that all of our local Harbourside dog walkers and canine companions can dine in our Cafe on dog Biscotti and Oat Bars!
